How to Install Node.js on CentOS

Introduction

Node.js is an open source, cross platform, JavaScript runtime platform which enables JavaScript to be used for server-side scripting. Prerequisites

  • CentOS 7
  • Login as an administrator on the terminal
  • Yum must be configured on the system.

Installation

Installation includes following steps.

1. Update the local repository index of Yum

Execute the following command to update the local repository index of yum package installer.

2. Install Node.js
