AutoCAD Fillet
Fillet
The fillet command is used to create rounded edges between the adjacent lines and faces in 2D and 3D.
It is also used to connect two tangent arcs in 2D.
The steps to implement fillet are:
- Select the Fillet command from the ribbon panel, as shown below:
Or
Type F on the command line or command prompt and press Enter. - Select the first object.
- Type R or Radius.
- Press Enter.
- Specify the radius of the Fillet and press Enter.
- Select the second object.

Example 1:
The fillet process for the first figure is shown below:

The fillet process for the second figure is shown below:

The fillet process for the third figure is shown below:
Multiple Fillet
The Multiple fillet allows us to implement the fillet without selecting the fillet command for the multiple times.
Let’s understand with an example:
The steps are listed below:
- Select the Fillet command from the ribbon panel.
Or
Type F on the command line or command prompt and press Enter. - Type M or Multiple on the command line.
- Press Enter.
- Select the first object.
- Type R or Radius on the command line.
- Press Enter.
- Specify the fillet radius. For example, 1.
- Press Enter.
- Select the second object.
- Now, continue selecting the first and second objects.
- Press Esc or Enter to exit.
The process is shown below:
Here, 1 and 2 are the first and second objects selected in continuous order.
