While texting someone in our daily lives, we use several emojis or emoticons to show our emotions or express ourselves. Emoji offers us an innovative way to express our emotions. We have an emoji for almost every emotion, let see how many we have and what they mean and where we can use them.
What is Emoji?
Emoji are used while “texting” or messaging someone, usually for an informal cause. They are pictograms or smiley mostly used to add emotions to the conversation. They are too similar to the emoticons but are available in various genres, few represent various facial expressions and a few represent everyday items, places, etc.
Origin of Emoji
Emoji word is taken from the Japanese word “E-moh-jee,” which means “picture character“, it was added to the Japanese keyboard in 1997 but got popular worldwide in 2010. Meanwhile, emoticons were added to the keyword dictionary in 1990 by a Japanese company.
Benefits of Emoji
