Java Date toGMTString() Method

The toGMTString() method of Java Date class converts this date object into a String in form “d mon yyyy hh:mm:ss GMT”.

This method is deprecated as of JDK version 1.1 and by using GTMTimeZone it is replaced by DateFormat.format(Date date)

The toGMTString() returns a String representing this date object.

Example 1

  import java.util.Date;  public class JavaDateToGMTStringExample1 {  public static void main(String[] args) {  Date d=new Date();  System.out.println(“Current date to GMT string : “+d.toGMTString());  }  }
