According to the constitution of the United States of America, the President in the US is “Head of the government” as well as “Head of the state”. The President of the United States is elected for a working tenure of four years through an Electoral College system. The working period has been restricted to a limit of two terms after the adaptation of the Twenty-second amendment in 1951.

Eligibility criteria to become the US president
The person who wants to serve as the President of the United States should meet the following three important attributes:
- The individual should be a natural-born native of the United States.
- The person should be a resident of the US for 14 years at least.
- The individual must have attained the age of 35 years.
