NGO: Non-Governmental Organization

NGO is an organization that is neither a part of government nor a conventional profit business. It is a non-profit, non-business created to solve problems related to senior citizen, children, poor, environment etc.

Usually, it is setup by ordinary people, citizens. It can be funded by governments (State and Central Government), foundations, businesses etc. It can be organized on community based, city level , national level or international level.
