Performance Appraisal
It is a process used by companies to evaluate the performance of employees at regular intervals. It helps companies know how much an employee is contributing to the company. Accordingly, the company decides whether the employee needs to be promoted, demoted or terminated.
There are plenty of methods to appraise the performance of employees. Some are traditional and some are modern. So, broadly there are two categories of performance appraisal methods:
