Python complex() Function
Python complex() function is used to convert numbers or string into a complex number. This method takes two optional parameters and returns a complex number. The first parameter is called a real and second as imaginary parts.
Signature
Parameters
real: It is an optional numeric parameter.
imaginary: It is an optional numeric parameter.
Return
It returns a complex number.

Python complex() Function Example 1
It is a simple example which shows the usage of complex() function. Here, we are passing all the argument of integer type.
Output:
(1+0j) (1+2j)
Python complex() Function Example 2
Here, we are passing float type values, and the output generated by the function is also float type.
Output:
(1.5+0j) (1.5+2.2j)
Python complex() Function Example 3
It also allows string parameters but should be an integer value.
Output:
(1+0j) (1.5+0j)
Python complex() Function Example 4
It allows only one string parameter. If the first argument is a string type, it does not allow to pass the second argument. It generates an error if we pass the second parameter.
Output:
TypeError: complex() can't take the second arg if first is a string
