Tourist Places in Udaipur
Udaipur is one of Rajasthan’s most popular tourist destinations. Udaipur is famous for its azure lakes, wonderful cuisine, colorful culture, and majestic palaces. One of the most magnificent views and pleasures of any trip to Udaipur is taking a boat ride on Lake Pichola. This city is also famous as the ‘City of Lakes’. 1. City Palace
This palace is thought to be Rajasthan’s largest royal structure. This palace gives tourists a glimpse of Rajasthan’s regal splendor. The palace’s complex is comprised of multiple lovely villas and palaces that are Bhim Vilas, Manak Mahal, Krishna Vilas, Amar Vilas, and moti mahal.
The City Palace has a maze of extensive passageways on the inside, meant to protect against enemy surprise attacks. The complex’s entrance has a Hati Pol, and it is also known as the elephant gate. At the palace entrance, there is a magnificent Jagdish shrine. Elegant balconies, cupolas, and lofty towers enhance the beauty of the palace.
In the palace, there is a gallery dedicated to peacock paintings, and its name is Choti Chitrashali. The palace has Chini Chitrashala also, which contains a great collection of Chinese and Dutch tiles. This palace is open for visitors from 09:30 am to 05:30 pm.

2. Lake Pichola
Lake Pichola is a man-made lake in Rajasthan’s city Udaipur. Because of its tranquility and beauty, this lake attracts thousands of tourists. 3. Sajjangarh Palace
This palace is situated outside of the Udaipur. This palace’s other name is “Monsoon Palace”. The castle-like structure of the palace looks like it belongs in a fairy tale. The palace was built with the intention of watching monsoon clouds amass in the sky. Maharana Sajjan Singh constructed this palace. The Monsoon Palace’s exterior is built from stark white marble, and the palace is designed in the Rajasthani style. The high towers, many pillars, massive domes, and jharokhas are the main attractions of the palace. This palace has an underground water harvesting system with a cistern capacity of 195,500 liters.

4. Bagore Ki Haveli
This haveli is located on Udaipur’s Gangaur Ghat Marg. Bagore ki Haveli is a grand and opulent palace. This haveli has magnificent and skilled architecture. Bagore ki haveli has 138 rooms, and these rooms are decorated with glass and mirrors. The haveli has multiple archways, wide halls, jharokas, water fountains, cupolas, and terraces. A tour through the haveli’s inner area gives a glimpse of queens’ and royal ladies’ private rooms with their opulent baths, recreation areas, cosmetics rooms, sleeping rooms, worship rooms, and other amenities.

- One hundred rupees per head is the entry fee for Foreign adults.

5. Jag Mandir Palace
This is a charming spot in Udaipur. Lake Garden Palace is another famous palace in Udaipur. Because of its tranquility and beauty, this palace attracts thousands of tourists. Kunwar Pada ka Mahal, Garden Courtyard, Bara Patharon ka Mahal, Darikhana, Gul Mahal, and Zenana Mahal are the sections of palace. The palace now houses the ‘Darikhana’ restaurant, which serves delectable Rajasthani cuisine.
6. Saheliyon Ki Bari
Saheliyon Ki Bari is a magnificent park in Udaipur. Maharana Sangram Singh constructed this garden. This garden’s other names are “Courtyard of Maidens” and “Garden of Maidens”. The lovely garden was created with all of the Queen’s favorite natural elements. It is told that she like the sound of rain; therefore, the king included numerous fountains to mimic the sound of rain. Tall trees, shrubs, and flower beds adorn the beautifully landscaped garden and also add color and fragrance to this fascinating monument. The attraction of this garden is dancing pretty women, marble elephants, fountains, a lotus pool, and kiosks. The entry fee of Saheliyon Ki Bari is 5 rupees per head.

7. Ambrai Ghat
Udaipur’s Ambrai Ghat is also known as Manjhi Ghat. It is one of Udaipur’s most beautiful and famous ghats. In the evening people enjoy the city light. This ghat provides a beautiful view of Shiv Niwas, Jag Mandir, and Lake Palace Udaipur.
8. Fateh Sagar Lake
This lake is a man-made lake. This lake was constructed in 1687. This is Udaipur’s second-largest lake. A visit to this lake wouldn’t be complete without a boat ride. There are public parks and a solar observatory on the islands that are worth seeing. Every year, a World Music Festival is celebrated here. This festival is celebrated for three days. To prevent water loss due to evaporation, cetyl alcohol is sprayed over the lake surface.

9. Jagdish Temple
Lord Vishnu is the main deity of this temple. This temple is located within the City Palace’s Complex. This temple is the perfect example of the Maha Meru or Meru-Gurjara architectural style. One of the most magnificent examples of Hindu iconography in India is the Shri Jagdish Temple. The temple’s spire is around 79 feet in height. The temple houses a magnificent four-armed picture of Lord Vishnu.
10. Gulab Bagh and Zoo
This zoo is situated in Gulab Bagh garden. There is a variety of roses in the Gulab bagh garden. This zoo has a less number of animal species. This garden has Kamal Talai and Navlakha Mahal. The Navlakha Mahal is a holy site, and Kamal Talai is a massive man-made lake that increases the beauty of Gulab bagh. Lotus Pond is another name for Kamal Talai.

11. Doodh Talai
This is one of the most attractive sites in Udaipur. Doodh Talai Lake is located near Lake Pichola. Doodh Talai attracts tourists to its two parks, which are situated on the adjacent hills. One park is Manikya Lal Verma Garden, which has Karni Mata temple, and the second park is Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Park, which has a musical fountain. There is also an Areal tramway that connects the Karni Mata temple and Doodh Talai. The entry fee of Doodh Talai is 10 rupees per head.

12. Jaisamand Lake
It is Udaipur’s most famous tourist destination. Dhebar Lake is another name for this lake. This is a man-made lake that was constructed in 1685. The lake has 3 separate islands, “Baba ka Magra” is the name given to the 2 big islands and “Piari” is the name given to the small island. There is a sunset point also, and the sunset point area is a popular destination for photographers. Visitors can enjoy the boat ride on this lake, and its fee is 30 rupees to 80 rupees.
